These are the new Sony smart TVs that will receive AirPlay 2 support this year — 2022

Since the CES 2019 held in January in Las Vegas, we have been able to learn of a good handful oftelevisions from different manufacturersthat have announced models that will receive support for AirPlay 2. Apple seems to be willing to open its service to new brands and among them are Samsung, LG or more recently Sony, which yesterday ad a list of televisions that will be compatible soon.

Sony TVs welcome AirPlay 2

AirPlay 2 is an Apple service with which you can play audiovisual content from an iPhone or iPad d through those devices that have support for it. Although this seems quite trivial, the truth is that it is very comfortable to be able to listen to a song on our iPhone and listen to it through an AirPlay-compatible speaker.


Since January, it was known that some of Sony's televisions would receive support for AirPlay 2. However, now the company itself has confirmed it, also adding some models that will come out this year.

The Japanese manufacturer reported that the launches of these televisions will be carried out in stages . They will start with the series X950G to be released at the end of this April . The rest of the models will be launched successively in May and June. Notably, some of the new 98-inch 8K TVs, which will be priced around $70,000, will also receive support for both HomeKit and AirPlay 2.
