The truth is that the mobile devices of the Cupertino company, especially those of 2018, are not generating the income expected by the company. But now we have learned, as reported Appleinsider with data from Canalys , what iPhones still lead in Japan and they do it with a wide difference with respect to their competitors.

iPhones undisputedly lead in Japan

As we see in the graph, Apple has lost 10.5% annual income from their iPhone during the last quarter of 2018. It is quite curious how the main brands in the country have suffered a drop in sales except for the South Korean Samsung which has managed to increase by 10.1%, almost what Apple has lost.

In a market where companies like Huawei or Xiaomi still do not appear in the head, it stands out Apple as the leader in sales with a 56% market share. A fairly positive figure despite, as we have already mentioned, having lowered sales. The difference of the devices of the bitten apple with its main competitor in the Japanese country is abysmal and it is that Sharp, the second in question, monopolizes a 9.8% market share.

According to reports the iPhone XR would have been the king during the fourth quarter of 2018 in Japan with a representation of almost 40% of all iPhones. That is, for every 5 iPhones that were sold in this country, 2 were an XR. The worst luck seems to be running iPhone XS and XSMax , which only managed to sell 1.4 million united between the two . These are data that are much lower than those obtained at the time by its predecessor, the iPhone X.

It should be noted that the main reasons that Apple has not suffered too much is the median price drop to $744 compared to $794 last year . He too iPhone 6s has 'saved' the company by having experienced an increase in sales thanks to a campaign to attract a local telephone operator.
