LG announced earlier this year at CES 2019 that its latest high-end TVs will feature AirPlay 2 and HomeKit compatibility to work asone more accessory that we can control through the Home applicationor with voice commands through Siri. Now LG has released a note announcing that an update will be released starting Wednesday that will enable these features on its new phones. 2019 LG OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs, and ThinQ AI-enabled UHD TVs.

These are the LG TVs that will be compatible with AirPlay 2 and HomeKit

Thanks to the AirPlay 2 connection, users will be able to broadcast audiovisual content from the iPhone, iPad or Mac to these televisions. In addition, we will have the Apple TV application available so that we can see original content from the company that was presented at WWDC 2019. Obviously we will also have a series of native applications from the company integrated into this television, such as Apple Music o Apple Podcast.

In addition to having a wide range of content available, and the ability to easily send it from our iPhone, iPad or Mac, televisions will also work as a home automation product. This means that we can incorporate our television in the Home application and control its most basic functions such as volume, chain, or video input as if it were the remote control from our devices. If we don't want to pick up the iPhone to change the channel or volume, we can also ask Siri through simple voice commands.

If you already have one of these televisions in your home, from LG they have stated that starting tomorrow and throughout the week these firmware updates will appear. If you don't have it but you want to have these functions, you simply have to get one of the latest LG televisions on the market with an OLED screen or simply have ThinQ AI technology.

At Amazon we find some of the models that will be compatible starting tomorrow with AirPlay 2 and HomeKit and that we leave you below.
