Gmail is updated on iOS, finally adapting to the screens of the new iPad Pro — 2022

Gmail users who use it on an iPad Pro 2018 are in luck because the Google application has finally been made compatible with new screens of these devices. This compatibility has arrived with the latest update of the iOS app available on the App Store . In this way, the application will no longer be seen in dimensions that until now were not adequate.

Gmail already adapts to the resolution of the new iPad Pro

Apple launched in November its newiPad Pro. These devices, as announced by Apple in its ads, is iPad's biggest change since the iPad . The main reason, beyond the incredible power of the device, is the new design that it brings in which it leaves behind the Home button and the thick frames on its front as the iPhone X did in its day, although in the case of the iPad Pro 2018 these do not have the criticized 'notch'.

Therefore, when we find ourselves with a new design, we also find ourselves with new dimensions. For this reason, many applications have had to be adapted to both the 11-inch device and the 12.9-inch device.

Gmail has been slow to optimize its application to these new screens but in the end it has ended up doing it . In its version 5.0.190113, available in the iOS App Store, we see how the only novelty it includes is the aforementioned optimization for the iPad Pro 2018. So, if you have any of the new Apple tablets and use Gmail, you can now update to enjoy for a better app experience.

Changing resolution on a device usually requires a change in application resolutions. This does not depend on Apple but on the developers of the apps . For this reason, it is normal to find many applications with an inadequate resolution when buying a device that has just come onto the market and that includes changes in its dimensions.

We remember howSpotifyIt was already adapted a few weeks ago to the screens of the new Apple Watch Series 4, iPhone XS Max and XR whileInstagramhe did the same also in mid-January. The latter had some black frames in the application interface that had been fixed months ago but later reappeared.
