Apple would be developing a new seventh-generation iPod touch — 2022

The iPod is not dead. A new report published by the media Macotakara and picked up by 9to5mac claims that Apple would be developing a new seventh-generation iPod touch. Among the novelties that this new equipment would incorporate, we would find the jump to USB-C as in the iPad Pro of 2018.

Sources are taken from the supply chain itself and from suppliers that were present at CES 2019. With this movement Apple would be trying to update the sixth generation iPod touch which can currently be purchased from the Apple Store Online.

Apple would be preparing the launch of the seventh generation iPod touch

This information is quite abstract with respect to the launch date of this new team or what new features it could incorporate. The only one that has been made clear in this report is the jump to the USB-C connection.

iPod Touch

The last time Apple updated this computer was in the year 2015 with the launch of the sixth generation iPod touch with an A8 chip and in various colors. After this from the Cupertino company they decided in 2017 release an upgrade of its storage capacities to 32 and 128 GB accompanied by new more competitive prices. Earlier this year, Apple withdrew the iPod nano and iPod shuffle from its online store.

It is not the first time that we have talked about this possible launch, since there have been various rumors in recent years that have spoken that Apple would be thinking of releasing a new iPod . With this they would try to continue expanding their services market and increase their base installation share in the current market.
